S10We've seen Lenovo increasing its consumer offerings of late, but this is really captivating it up a mark. The company just announced its very primary netbook, the recently spotted 10.2-inch, Atom-powered modest wonder. Sadly, there's little of reminder in the design -- it seems to have more in ordinary with the MSI Wind and the Eee PC than its Lenovo siblings – Starting at $399, it’s really and affordable laptop, which comes with 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD

$450 will get you 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and 1.6 GHz Atom chipset.

Monday, 21 July 2008
vvMicrosoft's been widely known for its "fastest annual revenue growth since 1999," which resulted in a huge and overly grown worth of $60.42 billion dollars in its last fiscal year, but the number that has us engrossed?

Vista licenses sold since begin about 18 months ago, and their profit margin stands at $180,000,000. Not too bad considering that they moved 20m licenses sold in month one, 40m licenses moved after the original 100 days of launch, and 140m licenses by last April 2008. But standing at roughly 10m licenses per month, that also means Vista's still a couple years out before it would overtake it predecessor, the XP, and with a bit of luck, by then we'll have already migrated on to Windows 7.

All of this is of course aimed to help the Japanese companies lift up the competition with South Korea's chaebols, particularly Samsung and LG, as the industry conglomerates maneuver for an advantage over the next, future-generation flat panel technology to be available in everyone's living room.
