Remember the Terminator series with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the killing machine that comes with various advance technology from the future? He rock – and do you also remember the other advance prototype, the liquid metal which wanted to kill everything on earth on Terminator 2 and 3?
Well, according to the scientists from Yale, they are actually developing an amorphous metals technology for the next generation microprocessors. The materials used which are amorphous metals are more durable than silicon and more pliable than normal metals – which makes it the perfect medium for microprocessors which can go as small as 13nm.
Let’s just hope that ‘Judgment Day’ doesn’t come that soon though.
