Apple Using Liquidmetal Alloy in SIM Ejector Tool PDF Print E-mail
What’s Liquidmetal you may ask? Personally, I have no idea whatsoever, but it seems that this particular metal is used on the latest SIM ejector tool for the iPhone 4. Although Apple did not specifically mention that their SIM ejector tool uses Liquidmetal, the Liquidmetal co-creator has infamously confirmed that the metal used was indeed his creation.

Basically, Atakan Peker has ideally identified the metal used for the SIM ejector tool. He said that – ‘That’s my metal. I recognized it immediately’. Well, Apple has acquired Liquidmetal’s IP, whereby both the companies have been working together with the special metal ever since.

On the other hand, there isn’t much indication that Apple might include more of such metal for their future products, but taking a glance that Apple did purchase Liquidmetal, I’m sure that more products of the future would carry such metals.
