Watch out! Intel-- the entire worlds are gunning for you, perhaps or at least with both VIA. This makes now free scale looking to catch a sliver of the netbook CPU pie. Supposedly, the company will be presentation a netbook-centric chip at CES this week from its i.MX line. More in particular, the i.MX515 that is based on the Cortex-A8 core from ARM determination mean for mini laptops that sit on or under the nearly legendary $199 price point.
However, is the possible battery life of technology with this kind of chip installed. This is which normally we're talking up to eight hours, although there's no suggestion of what range battery quantity would be essential to reach that objective. It has been well-known that the low-power CPUs won't support Windows at all, so you maybe only can see within machines with Linux-based operating systems only. Who knows?
