Apparently, SSD manufacturers have come out with a cutting edge technology for their SSD drives which promises very low power consumption. In fact, they utilize the inductive coupling technology that reduces power consumption considerably.
Of course, the inductive coupling technology would definitely give an edge to SSD drives as I’m pretty sure that you are aware of those power-consumption-heavy rotational drives which need extra juice to make it run.
Well SSDs are still expensive. Let’s hope that manufacturers can push the storage up while keeping the cost down.
